Together, we improve compassion locally where we live, work, and reside.

In our Equally Different Partnership concept, your company becomes an Equally Different sponsor for local schools (students, school staff, and guardians) or local associations (leaders, participants, and guardians). The goal is to train individuals and groups in social skills to become better for each other through increased empathy, tolerance, and inclusion.

Equally Different has joined forces with Swedish businesses to create valuable partnerships that generate benefits for recipients, local communities, and partner companies—all with a focus on the local level. By “digging where we stand” and making a difference for those closest to us, the work becomes meaningful, enjoyable, and long-lasting.

Our partnerships span three years to provide long-term support in preventing discrimination and exclusion, and to help create better school and association environments for children, youth, and adults.

What do we do in schools and associations?

In life, we rarely choose who’s with us in the classroom, in the association, at work, or at the café. Yet we still need to function together. People need social skills to build relationships that allow potential to take off—on an individual, group, and ultimately, local community level. That’s why Equally Different provides regular training in the Equally Different method, a tool for increasing empathy, tolerance, and inclusion—the foundations of safety, well-being, and greater potential.

The work with the Equally Different method follows a scientifically developed four-step learning process. Each step is an important part of shifting behaviors toward being more empathetic, tolerant, and inclusive—helping more people become better for one another. Over a three-year period, participants engage in lectures, workshops, or online learning—all essential components of the process.

The Equally Different Method process

What’s the benefit for management, school staff, and students?

Equally Different inspires and boosts children, youth, and adults to, on site, dare and want to challenge their own prejudices, attitudes, and values—and to become aware of the traces they leave behind for others every day. Participants are supported in engaging with empathy, tolerance, and inclusion by making community, potential, and mental well-being concrete, easy to understand, and enjoyable. Through the Equally Different method, overall well-being is strengthened as more people move from planning to action in values-based work.
